Celebration Books

Celebrate a special occasion in your child's life by donating a book to the Highcroft Elementary School Media Center!

The Celebration Books program is a lasting way to commemorate something special in our child’s life: 

• Starting or finishing a year of school (especially special years like Kindergarten and 5th Grade)
• In honor of a child’s birthday
• A special personal accomplishment

No occasion is too big or too small to celebrate with a book while leaving your child's legacy at Highcroft!

How does the program work?

• Work with your child to choose a Celebration Book from a provided list. All reading levels and genres are available to honor your child with a "good fit" book.  
• Once received, a dedication bookplate will be placed inside the front cover identifying your honoree and their special occasion.  
• Our Media Specialist, Mrs. Fiedler, will honor your child by posting their celebration on the Media Center bulletin board.
• Your child will be the first student to check the book out of the Media Center. 
• Once the book is returned, it will become a permanent part of our Highcroft Media Center collection and available for all students to enjoy.

I’m ready to celebrate my Husky!

• Select and purchase a book from the HDES Media Center wish list. Select the shipping method associated with the list to ship the book directly to the Media Center.
• Complete the Celebration Books Purchase form. This information will give the Media Center all the details of your celebration to include on your personalized bookplate.
• Consider volunteering in the library to celebrate together with your Husky!
