Spring Carnival Classroom Baskets Instructions and Tips

The HDES PTA Spring Carnival is Friday, May 12, from 5-8:00 p.m. We need your support to help make the carnival fun and successful. As in the past, we are asking classrooms to contribute a themed basket to be raffled. These basket donations are the key to a profitable fundraiser, as families purchase tickets and the baskets are the biggest draw of the carnival.

What needs to be done by Room Parents? 

1. Communicate to your class the basket theme, suggestions for donation items, and a timeline for collecting items. You can decide if you want to collect money, objects, or a combination. Some Room Parents like to set up Amazon Wish Lists. A template communication was sent to our Room Parents.

2. Assemble all the items in a basket or container related to your theme.

3  Optional – send a picture to volunteerhighcroftpta@gmail.com for possible use in carnival social media posts before wrapping it.

4. Wrap the basket in clear cellophane. During May 1-5, clear cellophane, paper filler, and curling ribbon will be available for your use in the PTA office (while supplies last). Drop in during school hours.

5. On the outside of the basket - attach the basket theme, class name, and a complete list of items included.

All baskets are due on Friday, May 5, and can be dropped off in the PTA room May 1-5.
